Resizing pictures

When you click on text or a picture in PowerPoint, the first thing that happens is white boxes form around the object. To resize an object, click and drag one of the boxes to expand or contract.

When you use a box in a corner, the object maintains its proportions. When you use a box on a side, only that side changes, changing the proportions and distorting the picture.
