Inserting pictures

Speaking of pictures, perhaps you have some that you would like to use in your title slide. For example, a portrait of the subject you will be presenting on. Say you don't have a portrait yourself, but you know where to find one on the Internet that is in the public domain.

Right click on the image (if on a Mac without a right mouse button: control+click) and select "save image as", then save the picture in the folder you've created to house all your media.

To import that picture into the presentation, select the "Import picture from file" icon on the far left side of the screen. If that's not there select from the menu bar Insert:Picture:From File.

Select the picture you want and press "Insert".
